Maa Girja Devi Training College, Bhind, Madhya Pradesh Recognized by National Council for Teacher Education for D.El.Ed. programme has been founded with motto to provide higher education to boys and girls of Bhind District.
Management of the college is committed to impart qualitative education at higher level. College has dexterously been in service of Education since its inception. Today this Institution has been recognized as one of the best education center in Bhind District. The academic session of the college has lush-green, pollution free campus with all infrastructure compatible to any educational institution in the MP. The college is managed by a Society registered under Society Act, 1860. At present there are faculties in the college Faculty of Education,

As per UGC Circular All eligible SC/ST, OBC, EWS, GENRAL Students etc. should submit their scholarship form for the academic year by last date for processing scholarship to SC/ST, OBC, EWS, GENRAL etc. each year to the competent  authorities of Govt. of India.

DISCIPLINE & ANTI-RAGGING MEASURES

Smooth induction of fresher’s, stringent anti ragging measures & self regulating discipline measures are in built into the system & implemented. High level Discipline & Anti ragging committee shoulders this responsibility. To ensure discipline, the college makes positive & constructive rather than negative & destructive efforts. Intension is to induce self-discipline, self-restraint & self-regulation.

ANTI-WOMEN HARRESSMENT CELL

The Anti- Sexual Harassment Cell has been established to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to all the staff members and students. The cell meets the following objectives :

1. To develop guidelines and norms for a policy against sexual harassment.
2. To develop principles and procedures for combating sexual harassment.
3. To work out details for the implementation of the policy.
4. To prepare a detailed plan of actions, both short and long term.
5. To collaborate with the Women’s Study Cell.
6. To organize gender sensitization awareness programmes.

Till now no cases of sexual harassment at workplace have been registered.

EXAMINATION CELL

Exams section is a statutory office in the college. The most important and the most typical job of conducting of examinations is totally transferred to the college by the university. The office of the controller of exams takes care of the conducting of exams.

After the Principal’s office, the office of the Controller of Exams is the most important functional unit in a college. It is a statutory office and is responsible for all the activities connected with testing, grading and academic certification in the college.

ALUMNI

ALUMNI

The College has a functional Alumni Association actively participating in various activities. It provides a platform where the alumni come together and plan activities in the college.

The association has contributed significantly in the development of the college by organizing guest talks by eminent alumni from industries, academics etc., and provide platform for exchange of ideas. The Association also organizes Annual Alumni Meet to establish a link between the alumni, staff and students of the College. The association takes feedback from the alumni on improvement in infrastructure, teaching methodology and syllabus to meet the demands of the profession. Apart from this, the Association has also arranged on/off campus interviews either by telephonic conversation or through e-mail with its members. Some of our alumni have also contributed books to the library, which helps students academically.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

•     To promote a feeling of brotherhood among the members.
•     To bring the old students in touch with the present students.
•     To arrange to provide charitable to the deserving needy students of the hostel and to render financial or other aid towards widening the scope of usefulness’ of the hostel whenever necessary.
•     To celebration of the present students day annually.
•     Serving as forum to promote and foster the relationship between the alumni, the present students, the staff and the management of School/College with basic objects of exchange of ideas, which besides being mutually beneficial, will generally help in achieving excellence and professional competence and contribute to improve the quality of life.
•     Conducting art, science & technical update programmes, arranging lectures by eminent persons, circulating Newsletter periodically, that is necessary from time to time, to maintain continuous contact and fellowship with present and future Alumni.
•     To arrange cultural, literacy and sports activities amongst Alumni.
•     To college Scholarships, Revolving Loan fund, prizes/medals, etc., for the deserving students.
•     To bring about contact between the past and present students by holding periodical Alumni day celebrations and any other means as may be decided upon by the Association from time to time.
•     To college and award fellowships, scholarships, stipends, travel grants of otherwise support students and research scholars to encourage them to devote themselves to scientific pursuits,
• To organize programmes, which inspire and motivate the young students to develop interest in any subject.

• To honor and present awards to distinguished alumni of the Department.
• To establish museums, displays and other means to create awareness. Among the public and to keep them abreast of the complex scientific developments in those subject which have far-reaching effect of Association.

• The College has huge library for their students as well as staff also. There are books, journals, encyclopedia, magazines and extensive archives. Library maintains all standards of NCTE for D.El.Ed. programme. Library subscribes National & International Journals and reputed magazines.
• पुस्तकालय में प्रत्येक विषय की पर्याप्त संख्या में पुस्तकें संग्रहित हैं । विद्यार्थियों से आशा की जाती है कि उनका अधिकाधिक उपयोग करें । मेधावी एवं जिज्ञासु छात्रों के लिए पुस्तकालय में बैठकर भी अध्ययन करने की सुविधा है ।
  2. पुस्तकालय की किसी भी पुस्तक, हस्तलिखित प्रति, सामयिक पत्र पत्रिकाओं पर किसी प्रकार का चिन्ह लगाना, कुछ लिखना, फाड़ना या किसी प्रकार की क्षति पहुँचाना अर्थदण्डनीय होगा।
  3. पुस्तकालय में प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी को शान्ति एवं अनुशासित वातावरण बनाये रखना अनिवार्य होगा। जिससे अध्ययन या अन्य कार्यो में किसी प्रकार का व्यवधान न हो ।

• महाविद्यालय में प्रायोगिक विषय भूगोल, गृह विज्ञान की प्रयोग सामग्रियां एवं आधुनिक उपकरणों से पूर्ण सुसज्जित प्रयोगशालाएं हैं। प्रायोगिक विषयों का चयन करने वाले छात्रों द्वारा प्रयोगात्मक कार्य करते समय उपलब्ध उपकरणों/प्रयोग सामग्रियों का उपयोग विभागीय अनुमति से किया जायेगा प्रयोग के दौरान उपकरणों/प्रयोग सामग्रियों की टूट-फूट एवं क्षति की पूरी जिम्मेदारी सम्बन्धित छात्र/छात्रा की होगी तथा ऐसी स्थिति में विभागाध्यक्ष द्वारा लगया गया अर्थदण्ड अनिवार्य रूप से देय होगा।
• LANGUAGE LAB
• A good pronunciation makes a good communicator. Therefore this College of Education is equipped with a fine language laboratory. Students can perceive the sounds of different phonetic symbols and hear them distinctly. It helps them develop their pronunciation, accent and intonation. Every student has provision to stop, rewind and replay the tape at any time. The students can work at their own place. He/ She can select the materials freely and the teacher can listen to individual students without disturbing the others. The teacher can communicate with the students and also control the programme when she/he so desires.
• SCIENCE LAB
• College maintains all standards of NCTE in Science Lab and this lab has all equipment and apparatus in the Science Lab. Science Lab of the college will be upgraded time by time and equipments are apparatus will be purchased time by time. Science lab is separate and complete in all respects.

• There are all indoor and outdoor games facilities are available in the Faculty of Education. College has sufficient playground for all games.
• Outdoor and Indoor Sports Facilities: Every student is encouraged to take active part in at least one outdoor activity. University has set up facilities/grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table-Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Carom, etc., and league matches are encouraged. We are also planning an inter-college sports tournaments to develop a spirit of healthy competition.
• Special Coaching: We are proud to have quite a few states-level players who have played in the Nationals. We plan to arrange special coaching for them so that they make our nation proud.
• Gymnasium: In order to ensure a sound body and mind, students are given special attention on health and fitness. A modern gym, with all the latest gadgets has been set up in the hostel.
• Adventure: Taking advantage of the natural beauty of the surrounding, an ‘adventure club’ has been formed by students, who organize camps for nature-walks, trekking and hiking.
• While games, sports and athletics directly contribute to physical development of students, other co-curricular activities also indirectly contribute to it. These activities provide a useful channel for the growth and development of the body.
